When it comes to pregnancy, we take care of you on every level - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Our Prenatal teachers are also doulas and birth educators, bringing a comprehensive approach that helps you experience a joyful, easeful pregnancy and prepare for a smoother postpartum recovery - all within a welcoming community of expecting mothers who hold you safe and loved.

This program supports Prenatal wellbeing, empowered birth, and the transition into motherhood. It's for you from 12 weeks pregnant all the way until the day you give birth. (Did we once have someone with waters breaking still asking to come to one last class? Yes. Yes, we did. And no, we sent them home :))

We focus on safe movement and appropriate breathing to support your changing body in doing the active, dynamic things you love. This helps you avoid common pregnancy aches, feel strong and capable, and tune into your own intuition and bodily wisdom. Storytelling and emotional preparation for birth and postpartum are woven throughout, helping you find your voice and your spiritual path through this great rite of passage.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE

Tailored for pregnancy, this massage sequence is done side-lying on the futon or table, fully supported with props, with parts of the treatment seated in a chair.

Prenatal massage helps regulate stress and welcomes a deep state of rest, easing common pregnancy discomforts like back pain, hip pain, and swelling while improving circulation. It supports better sleep and helps balance pregnancy hormones, lifting your mood and easing anxiety. Perhaps most of all, it releases tension through the pelvis - using manual techniques that create more space for your baby to find an optimal position, and invite a sense of freedom and spaciousness into the body.

Birth Partners Workshops with Gea

This workshop, led by a full-spectrum doula, birth educator, and Prenatal Yoga teacher, is designed for expectant mothers and their partners. You'll learn holistic techniques to help you experience a more relaxed, empowering pregnancy and birth, cope with pain, and build a strong connection between partners.


The real highlight, though, is the time dedicated exclusively to partners - helping them understand their role, read the mother's cues without needing many words, and hold space for her in a nurturing, hands-on way. We also cover simple ways to establish a connection and cooperation with medical professionals when birthing within the system. Partners leave with practical techniques they can apply across different positions - ready-to-go tools for support when the pressure is on.

YOUR BIRTH, YOUR WAY.

Birth Prep, Hypnobirthing & Birth Advocacy with Midwife Laura

Hosted regularly at SOMA, Your Birth, Your Way is a 3-hour workshop led by NHS midwife, hypnobirthing teacher, and pregnancy yoga instructor Laura Hayward Alfia. It's designed to support you emotionally, mentally, and physically as you prepare to meet your baby. Whether it's your first birth or your fourth, and whatever your birth plan looks like, the workshop offers practical tools to help you feel calmer, more confident, and informed.

At its heart is hypnobirthing - a grounded, evidence-based approach to staying calm and in control through labour - woven together with pregnancy yoga and midwife-led guidance you can carry straight into the birth room. Sessions explore movement and biomechanics to support optimal foetal positioning and create space in the pelvis, alongside postures and principles just as valuable if you're planning a Caesarean.

You'll also learn breathwork, affirmations, and meditations for managing the intensity of labour. Laura brings birth planning guidance from her experience as a midwife, including how to navigate the NHS maternity system, and the workshop opens up conversations around birth rights, advocacy, and avoiding unnecessary intervention.
