IN-PERSON AT SOMA + ON DEMAND PRE-STUDY

Demistify the energetic anatomy of the 7-chakra system and understand how to use the yogic tools to create a balancing practice around each chakra’s unique qualities, functions, and influence on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

ONLINE LIVE VIA ZOOM

Kashmir Shaivism: The Heart of Classical Tantra

Dive into the heart of nondual Shaiva tantra, a sophisticated philosophical tradition that bridges the body-mind gap and offers a worldview that is both artistic and scientific.

We study the tradition known as Kashmir Shaivism, Trika Shaivism, or classical tantra - the tantric practices, but also exquisite, intellectually challenging philosophy, as well as its devotional qualities. The texts of Kashmir Shaivism, written around 1000 CE, somehow speak to the modern reader. They offer teachings that consciousness (Shiva) and energy (Shakti) never really separate, that consciousness becomes form through its own free will (svatantrya).

Of course, the statement "All One" is easy to utter but not quite as simple to embody. That is why this module doesn't only include philosophical studies and discussion, but also storytelling (mythology), initiated mantras and meditation practices. The goal is to find a fruitful combination of discernment and devotion, fitting for a tradition where another name for Consciousness is The Heart.

OCTOBER 17 & 18, 2026 WITH NINA VUKAS
4 HOURS ON DEMAND PRE-STUDY + IN-PERSON AT SOMA

This module provides the knowledge and skills to create trauma-informed yoga practices that prioritise safety, choice, and empowerment. You will explore the origins and terminology of trauma-sensitive approaches while developing a clear understanding of what trauma is, the different types of traumatic experiences, and how trauma affects the body, nervous system, and behaviour. The course examines trauma-related disorders, prevalence, potential triggers, risk factors, and the possibilities for post-traumatic growth and prevention. Through a neurobiological lens, you will study the physiology of stress and trauma, including the autonomic nervous system, the SAM and HPA stress pathways, vagal function, and common defence responses. You’ll learn trauma-sensitive principles such as creating safer spaces, using invitational language, supporting inclusivity, and fostering empowerment.

The module also develops your ability to recognise signs of nervous-system dysregulation, understand professional scope and boundaries, and respond appropriately within the role of a yoga teacher. Yogic tools, including asana, breath practices, mindfulness, meditation, mudra, sound, and ceremony, are explored through a trauma-sensitive lens, alongside somatic resourcing techniques and guidance on avoiding potentially harmful psychotherapeutic interventions in yoga settings.

Trauma-Sensitive Yoga

OCTOBER 2026 WITH LAURELLE FULLAN
ON DEMAND - STUDY AT YOUR PACE

Embodied Calm: Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Nidra

This module introduces Embodied Calm, a trauma-sensitive approach to Yoga Nidra designed to cultivate deep rest, nervous-system regulation, and inner safety. You will explore the differences between traditional Yoga Nidra and trauma-sensitive adaptations, alongside the scientific foundations and therapeutic benefits of non-sleep deep rest practices. The training outlines the stages of the Embodied Calm method and provides practical guidance for teaching, including preparation, pacing, language, and script development. Emphasis is placed on supporting agency, minimising triggers, and creating an experience of grounded awareness, making Yoga Nidra accessible, stabilising, and deeply restorative for diverse populations.

NOVEMBER 2026 WITH NINA VUKAS
ON DEMAND - STUDY AT YOUR PACE

Advanced Anatomy, Physiology & Biomechanics

Learn how the body moves safely and efficiently in yoga practice through a deeper understanding of movement mechanics, joint function, and muscular coordination. In this module, you will explore how muscles, joints, and connective tissues interact during asana and transitions, including the roles of prime movers, stabilisers, load distribution, and force transfer. You’ll examine trunk control and spinal mechanics, core stability, and healthy spinal movement, alongside principles of alignment and functional posture. By understanding common postural deviations and how to assess them within the scope of yoga teaching, you’ll gain tools to offer intelligent adaptations and corrective interventions.

The module also explores muscle activation patterns, including concentric and eccentric contraction, agonist–antagonist relationships, and the balance between mobility and stability. You’ll study the physiology of stretching, flexibility, fascia, and hypermobility, as well as the role of proprioception in improving body awareness and movement control. This comprehensive anatomical foundation supports precise, individualised, therapeutic, and injury-preventive teaching, empowering you to adapt practices to diverse bodies and guide students safely and effectively.

DECEMBER 11-13, 2026 WITH GEA KRAJCAR & RENÉE JONES
IN-PERSON AT SOMA

Accessible Yoga & Restorative Yoga

True accessibility goes beyond offering modifications - it's about language, space, sequencing, use of props, and genuine inclusivity. You'll learn how to use props to make classes accessible for all bodies and develop intelligent sequencing for true "all-levels" classes using the mat, chair, and wall.

This module teaches you language that fosters inclusion and safety while creating both physical and emotional space for diverse bodies and abilities. You'll understand accessibility and trauma-sensitive practices beyond the physical, learning to teach in a way that honors each student's unique needs. By the end of this module, you'll be able to create classes where everyone - regardless of age, ability, body type, or experience - feels genuinely welcome and empowered.

We’ll delve into the foundations of Restorative Yoga - learning key postures, intelligent prop use, and adaptable approaches that support a wide range of bodies. We’ll look at how to create an environment that truly allows for rest, including how to prepare the body, soften sensory input, and guide thoughtful transitions that help students stay in a state of ease. Through the lens of the nervous system and its relationship with fascia, this module explores rest not simply as a pause, but as an essential balance to effort. It becomes a pathway back to your authentic self, helping you build a stronger foundation for practice and develop a more nuanced understanding of the body. By the end of the training, you’ll feel confident designing and guiding restorative classes that are thoughtful, inclusive, and deeply nourishing.

JANUARY 29-31, 2026 WITH GEA KRAJCAR
IN-PERSON AT SOMA

Learn the art of skillful, consent-based assists and adjustments in yoga. This module teaches you verbal and physical skills, when, how, and why to offer physical adjustments, and crucially, when not to. You'll explore the principles of safe biomechanics, clear communication, and trauma-informed consent practices that honor each student's boundaries and autonomy.

Through hands-on practice, you'll develop confidence in offering supportive assists that help with individual alignment, create stability, and enhance proprioceptive awareness, all while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. This is about learning to use touch as a powerful teaching tool with integrity, sensitivity, and respect.

We will also explore assists in building up to peak poses as part of our modules on creative sequencing.

Prenatal Yoga

MARCH 2027 WITH NINA VUKAS AND MARINA MORIC
ON DEMAND - STUDY AT YOUR OWN PACE

Through a neuroscience lens, you’ll examine how yogic practices influence human physiology and psychology. The module also explores the neurobiology of meditation, mindfulness, mudras, mantra, chanting, and sound, alongside the role of yogic philosophy in shaping cognition, emotional regulation, meaning, and perspective. You’ll gain insight into trauma-sensitive approaches, somatic awareness, mental health applications, habit formation, and motivation, while learning to sequence and cue classes based on nervous-system principles. By understanding how to recognise and respond to students’ physiological and emotional states, and the powerful role of community and co-regulation, you will be empowered to create safe, responsive, and deeply transformative yoga experiences.

The Ethics of Teaching Yoga

FAQs

What style of Yoga do you teach?

In general, we teach Vinyasa Yoga. The core teachings of our Yoga School are rooted in our authentic Vinyasa Flow Method which stems from Hatha Yoga teachings, Classical Yoga philosophy, Tantric teachings, Ayurveda's understanding of nature, the Five Elements, and contemporary sciences like Anatomy & Physiology, Neurology, and Psychology.

In this training we will also learn Accessible Vinyasa Sequencing using props and modifications, and Restorative Yoga.

Are you registered with Yoga Alliance?

Yes, our Yoga school has been registered with the Yoga Alliance for the last 15 years and our certificate is recognized internationally. Upon completion of your training, you will get a Yoga Alliance certificate, and if you wish, you can register with Yoga Alliance as a 500h Yoga teacher upon completing all requirements from the Yoga Alliance.

What are the prerequisites to apply?

Aligned with Yoga Alliance standards, you need to be a certified 200h Yoga Teacher to apply. You do not need to actively teach in order to enroll in this training. You do not need to have completed a 200h training with us in order to enroll, but we do have an extra 10h foundational Spanda Method: Intelligent Sequencing on-demand module that will help you prepare for the advanced methods of sequencing we use in the 300h training (no extra fees for this). This extra module is self-paced and needs to be completed before the start of the training.

Do you have an attendance policy?

To complete this teacher training, you need to attend all course hours, complete all written assignments, and pass the written and teaching exams - and we will make sure that you do so.

If you miss a lecture, day, or weekend, you can make up for it by booking a private lesson with a lead teacher. In this way, you can make up for a maximum of 4 days.

Some modules can be completed on-demand instead of in-person, but these will only be allowed for life emergencies or major pre-commitments, and will be considered case by case.

Can I join if I don’t plan to teach Yoga?

If you are a teacher doing this training for your practice only, you will dive really deep into the understanding of your sadhana, learn plenty of yogic philosophy, and be able to create healing, balancing, and empowering classes for yourself and your friends. However, there are plenty of practical teaching labs in this training, where you will be teaching in pairs to embody what you learn in order to be able to craft your personal practice. You won’t need to take the exams, but then you also won’t be able to receive the certificate.

Are there any extra perks for students?

Yes! At the start of the training, you will receive a complimentary 10-class pack at SOMA Yoga worth £140. You’ll have a month to use it, in order to support the regularity of your practice needed for a successful completion of this training.

We also always give back - with a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, a portion of our earnings is dedicated to planting trees and supporting selected charities.

Will I get a chance to teach paid classes?

Yes! Those who want to host masterclasses or smaller workshops in our studio as project-based learning will be able to book selected slots depending on studio availability and will be paid at our regular workshop rate.

What is included in the tuition?

All course materials, manuals, online platform access for on-demand study, community check ins during the training (Zoom or in-person), live Zoom Q&A sessions, mentorship calls, 10 class pack at SOMA, a 300h Yoga Alliance certificate contributing to the 500h Yoga teacher registration with Yoga Alliance.

Are payment plans available?

Yes, monthly payment plans are available after submitting the initial deposit, with an additional 70£ administration fee. The final payment needs to be submitted by end of March 2027, and a minimum of 40% tuition amount needs to be paid 7 days before the start of the training.

How do I ask questions in on-demand modules?

We will have scheduled Q&A live Zoom calls with on-demand module teachers, where you will be able to reflect on the lectures and ask questions. This will happen on the last Friday evening in the month scheduled for an on demand module. We always suggest taking notes and writing down any questions during on-demand study to make sure everything gets answered!

How long do we keep access to the online platform?

You have access to the online platform for 2 more months after the training end date.

Can I book separate modules, not the full training?

Yes, we will be opening a limited number of spots in modules, depending on availability, closer to the dates of the modules. These are all YACEP accreddited courses, and you can receive continuous education hours through Yoga Alliance. Please register your interest via email to get on the waiting list.

Do you teach Yin Yoga in this training?

No - our lineage is rooted in Hatha Yoga teachings, classical yoga philosophy, tantric teachings, and Ayurveda. Yin Yoga originates from the Chinese Taoist tradition and is based on meridian theory, which falls outside our area of expertise. All our offerings include Restorative Yoga, which is one of the modules offered in this training.

Graduation project & Mentoring sessions

We won’t have a classical written exam to graduate from this training. Throughout the training, you'll be developing your own unique graduation project - whether that's a workshop series, online course, a specialized class offering, a retreat, training, or something entirely your own.

Our 6 group mentoring sessions happening on Thursday evenings throughout the training will provide space to refine your ideas, receive feedback, troubleshoot challenges, and bring your vision to life with the support of your cohort and teaching team.

This is where everything comes together - where you step into your authentic voice as a teacher and share your unique gifts with the world.
