As we approach the winter solstice and the year begins to close, join us for a special extended gathering - a mini retreat designed to nourish, restore, and care for the bodies that hold space for others.
This month, we're offering something extra special: a 2.5-hour experience of self-care, connection, and deep rest, specifically crafted for yoga teachers who give so much and often forget to receive.
What awaits:
💆🏻♀️ Self-Care, Guided Facial & Partner Massage with Kitti (45 minutes)
Begin with a guided self-facial massage using nourishing serums, followed by reciprocal partner work for neck, back, and shoulders. Kitti, yoga teacher and massage therapist, will guide you through techniques to release tension and bring presence to caring for yourself and others.
🌝 Restful Somatics & Nidra with Renée (60 minutes)
You’ve done enough this year. It’s time to lie down and receive. Transition into restful somatic movement where gentle rest poses are woven throughout the practice, allowing your body to integrate the care you've received. We'll close with Yoga Nidra, guiding you into deep, conscious rest.
☕️ Community Time (45 minutes)
Close with chai, snacks, and conversation - time to connect, share, and be in community with fellow teachers.
As teachers, we're so used to giving. This retreat is about receiving - caring for ourselves, caring for each other, and remembering that we too deserve the attention, touch, and rest we so freely offer to others.
Teachers rotate each month, giving everyone the chance to experience different approaches and styles. Whether you're a seasoned teacher or just starting out, this is your space to be nourished, held, and supported by community. External teachers welcome!
Please bring: A make-up free face, & comfortable clothes you can move in. Come to practise, connect, and be deeply nourished by the community we're building together.
Cancellations: 14-days late cancellation policy applies for all our events. If you give us 14 days notice, you can use your money credits towards class packs, memberships or other events.
Location: SOMA Yoga is nested in the garden of the Battersea Reach complex (SW181TA) inside the bbodance, on the first floor. You can arrive by train to Wandsworth Town station (6’ walk from the studio), by bus (Petergate or Bridgend Road stop, 2’ walk from the studio) or by Uber boat (Plantation Wharf Pier).
Parking: Coming with a car? There is a car park at Battersea Reach (pay per hour) or free parking in Eltringham Street (2’ from the studio) where you are free to park anytime except 3-4 pm.
