As we arrive at the longest day of the year, we gather to honour the turning point of the season - Summer Solstice - a celebration of light, vitality, expansion and embodied presence. Rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda, yoga and sound, this extended afternoon retreat is designed as a gentle seasonal reset: an invitation to reconnect with the body, regulate the nervous system, and move into summer with more balance, softness and intention.
In Ayurveda, summer is governed by Pitta energy, the element of fire. While this season can bring motivation, confidence and creativity, it can also leave us feeling overstimulated, emotionally reactive, depleted or disconnected from rest. Together, we will explore practices that help cool, nourish and ground the system while still embracing the joy and aliveness of summer.
Throughout the afternoon, we will journey through:
✨ Ayurvedic seasonal wisdom for summer
✨ Breathwork & pranayama practices for cooling and regulation
✨ Gentle rituals and self-care tools rooted in Ayurveda
✨ Dry brushing, self-massage & body rituals supported by Urban Veda products
✨ A nourishing and expansive yoga flow guided by Gea
✨ Sound healing journey & immersive relaxation
✨ Herbal teas, community and intentional space to land softly together
This mini retreat is designed to feel both restorative and uplifting, balancing movement with stillness, ritual with playfulness, softness with expansion. Expect an afternoon of warmth, connection, grounding and seasonal nourishment in our beautiful studio overlooking the Thames. No previous experience is needed - simply come as you are, and shine. 🌞
