Breathwork & Somatics Session

Join us for a 2-hour Breathwork & Somatics Session with Alexandra where you'll reconnect with yourself through presence, reset your nervous system, and gain insight into what your body is holding. The session will start with group attunement meditation and sharing.

There will be a somatic exercise followed by gentle conscious connected breathwork for ~50 minutes. In the end, there will be time to share, reflect, and integrate. This session is open to complete beginners as well as those with more experience in breathwork, the class will be tailored accordingly. 

What is Breathwork & Somatic Therapy? 

Consciously breathing and tracking bodily sensations in a way that allows your nervous system to release you from thoughts and behaviors that aren’t serving you anymore. Stopping them from harming your physical and mental health.

Location & Parking: SOMA Yoga is nested in the garden of the Battersea Reach complex (SW181TA). You can arrive by train to Wandsworth Town station (6’ walk from the studio), by bus (Petergate or Bridgend Road stop, 2’ walk from the studio) or by Uber boat (Plantation Wharf Pier). Coming with a car there is a car park at Battersea Reach (pay per hour) or free parking in Eltringham street (2’ from the studio).

About the teacher

Alex is a specialist in guiding people into their bodies and back into connection with their true self through breathwork and somatic therapy.

Trained in Rebirthing Breathwork and Integrative Therapy, she has extensive experience in facilitating. She facilitates the liberation of stuck emotion, energy, and experiences in the body, enabling them to shift and integrate.

Having worked through her own acute post-traumatic stress symptoms and auto-immune issues in addition to her training, she is strongly informed by how trauma and the nervous system function. She guides her clients and groups through similar challenges - all while staying grounded in a gentle breath.
